About Cunneen’s Bar
Cunneen’s Bar is a historic corner bar located on the border between Rogers Park and Edgewater at 1424 W. Devon Avenue. Cunneen’s is a friendly, laid-back neighborhood tavern. Our bartenders have a large selection of music, including one of the largest collections of vinyl in the city, and the music at Cunneen’s is always the bartender’s choice. We have daily drink specials and WiFi for our customers. And new to Cunneen’s, we now have an HD TV for those important Chicago sports moments. No kitchen, but we have a large selection of local delivery menus for nearly every taste. Cunneen’s is strictly a Cash Only tavern, but there are several ATM’s nearby if needed.
Come in, relax, talk, don’t talk, just enjoy the unpretentious atmosphere.
And if you don’t find your fellow customers entertaining enough, there’s always the pool table. At 50¢ a rack, it’s one of the best bargains in the city! And check out our events page to see what we will be up to the coming weeks.
Find us at the following sites and feel free to write a review. Thanks!
We’ve also recently been featured in the history blog Taverns, Tales and Towns, and Sean Parnell’s Historic Bars of Chicago. And The Chicago Reader’s recent Best of Chicago issue named us “The Best Bar for Quiet Reflection on the Legacy of Mayor Richard J. Daley.”
We’re about halfway between Broadway/Sheridan and Clark St. and a short walk from the Loyola Red Line El stop. The CTA’s 36, 151 and 155 buses go right by our door. (You can get off at Greenview or Glenwood, we’re right in the middle at Newgard.)
